RUMOR: More Disney Platinums on Blu-ray

I was hoping they re-release the past platinums on blu-ray

And they do [at least almost] according to www.blu-ray.com

Which i found the titles without release date for Disney Classics on Blu-Rays besides Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio which was already advertised.

Here's the surprise list!
- Aladdin
- The Lion King
- Beauty And The Beast
- The Little Mermaid
- Peter Pan
.. I wonder where Cinderella is? [or just the 16x9 ones are being released]

and pixars are
- Finding Nemo
- Monster Inc
and The Incredibles

Wow! Cool ! Can't Wait...

Dream comes true...

None of this is a surprise. A surprise would be that we could have all of that within the next 4-5 years. Let me know if there are any dates for anything new, especially Pixar's entries.

Blu-ray.com is a fan run website... Eventually we hope all those movies will come, but they have not been announced. They tend to jump the gun because on some Disney movies it shows a 'preview' of all of those Disney films (a few seconds each). The only officially announced titles have been Sleeping Beauty and Finding Nemo (IIRC)

Finding Nemo was delayed until next year, but Pixar will be releasing another catalog title in its place this fall.

Not at all surprised since the footage of these titles in the D-Files on Enchanted looked like they were ready to go HD already. Problem is that Disney always spaces out their classics releases so it may be some time before we see these pressed and on the shelves.

No, a real surprise would be The Black Cauldron on Blu-Ray.

Where on blu-ray.com did you see those? The only place I see is a list of Disney movies if you list by studio. They just have placeholders much like Amazon does for movies that would be of interest but haven't been announced. I didn't see any news blurb about those coming out on the site.

I'm still pissed that we're not getting Finding Nemo this year.

Well, the only thing i saw is what u've seen.. i did mentioned only titles nothing more and no release date...

Sorry guys, i just never thought they'd re-release these since some of the platinum dvds are getting out of print... that's why i called it a surprise [at least for me!!]

And the titles are available means there's more possibility than nothing isn't it? This is why I'm happy...

about the site... I know cuz Sin City and kill bill was on for more than a year i guess. But this site is good and it updated more than the official one. And it never lies.

Sorry anyway

Wait -- which site are we talking about?

And what's with this sudden influx of non-news like release dateless disc announcements and the polls about "what you'd pay for blu-ray titles (which really don't conform to a particular target market) if you were considering purchasing a BD standalone player anytime in the near future" or whether or not the PS3 will be upgraded to decode DTS-MA before Christmas of 2012?

Sorry if I'm just a little bit cranky. I'm hungry and I need a nap.

Now that the war is over, we have very little to talk about and discuss. That was so 2007 .

But the main reason is there are just a bunch of new people who may have just purchased a PS3 (or Blu-ray player)... We REALLY need to update that stickied FAQ!

Well, this is a worldwide forum. It's just a TAD DIFFICULT to get perfect posts which satiate everyone. Just don't respond and the thread will disappear rather quickly. Respond and the thread lives on.
