I pre-ordered the HD DVD of Bonnie & Clyde and today I get an email from Amazon saying it shipped.

However, when I go to the my order history it reads Bonnie and Clyde [HD DVD] [Blu-ray]

And the link takes me to the Blu-ray page. Which is good I guess. This happen to anyone else?

Odd. Hopefully Fry's will have this tomorrow for the low price of $13.99 - $16.99 like all new Warner releases.

You are going to get the Blu-ray version. I noticed this a few weeks ago and was actually thrilled. I had preordered the HD DVD version back in december when my extra 10% was active and wanted to switch my order to Blu-ray, but couldn't without losing the discount. Somehow Amazon changed that listing to Blu-ray so I didn't have to lose the 10% off. However, if you really needed this on HD DVD it is a hassle because now you will have to return it.

Still sucks for Amazon to do that.

Sounds rather odd. I'd just refuse the package if Amazon confirms it is indeed a Blu-ray disc. Or just keep it and buy a Blu-ray player.

I think there was a screw up a few months ago where the Blu-ray linked to the HD DVD listing & the HD DVD linked to the Blu-ray listing.

Everybody's going to have to keep a close eye on their order.

For once, I'm glad I ordered it directly from WB. (It actually arrived last Friday.)

what's the best deal on this for HD DVD? By all accounts so far this looks like an awesome package and a stellar transfer.

Today, I received the package in the mail and its a Blu-ray version of B&C.

I'm going to keep it and not get the HD DVD.

That's kinda fucked up. It's like ordering condoms and you get a pack of FC2's instead.

Got my Blu-ray copy today and watched it immediately. I really like the transfer. It looks really good without losing too much of the grain. A really nice restoration by Warner and really cool packaging as well. The Hi-Def Audio logo on the case is kind of funny since this is a standard Dolby Digital mono track. Sounds great and I have no complaints, but the logo is probably more fitting on something with a lossless track.
