Finally got True HD sound to the 605. I tried to reinitialize the A35 but that did not clear up the True HD/Hdmi blinking no sound problem. So as been posted here before. When all else fails "Setup --> Maintenance --> Persistent Storage". And that seem to clear the True HD problem between the A35 and 605.
So it looks like the A35 is a keeper and I will probably return the extra A2 I purchased from Walmart. Mahalo for everyones help.

Ahhh, yes. Persistent Storage. More like a persistent pain in the ass.

I really don't think Persistent Storage had any to do with fixing my problem. But it was the only thing that I had not tried and it did clear up the problem.

Glad to hear it's FINALLY working out for you, kahuna!

I didn't want to say anymore until I heard some good news from you (so's not to jinx it...).

Gotta agree with that!

BTW: Is it something we really need?

(Not merely another pain in the arse, but the whole 'Persistent Sorrage' thang?)

I mean, apart from causing problems...

Good-Gawd y'all, what is it good for?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHIN'!

SAY IT AGAIN!

Bring it down, THEEK!

Persistent Storage, from my playing around with, is memory which is used to store any bookmarks from movies, and any content if you go online. The problem, is the storage capacity is rather small, giving hickups when you load titles which invoke persistent storage automatically (I can't really confirm this, but I've never pressed the ABCD buttons and yet some movies end up in there).

One thing I do look forward to with Blu-ray, are Sony's new S550, which has 1GB of memory for these same features, and I think the Panasonic BD-50 will as well.
