I wonder if HD-DVDs will make it to Deep Discount's semi-annual 20% off offer. I'm thinking this may be the only time I can finally purchase the last of HD-DVDs I would want to buy....

If they haven't shipped them back to their distributor or whatever come June.

How is the packaging for the BSG set? Is it like the flimsy packaging we have in the US?

BSG is packaged in a sleeve box with 2 hd dvd cases with 3 discs in each case. Here's a link to some pics.

I hope so. I'm tired of waiting for a number of Warner's catalog titles to go lower than $16.

That's a great question. The next 20% Off sale probably won't happen until June. That's two months off and it's hard to predict what they might have left by then.

If you have any Circuit Citys around there it is worth checking.

They are $50 (half off $99) there if they have them.

Mine had a couple (by the Dayton Mall). I picked one up today and got a misprice for an even better deal, but that's another story.

No CCs in/near Bloomington. Circle City is the closest Circuit City for me, and I'd rather get it for a little less (with better packaging), even though it'll take longer, from down under.

I think I'll go to Outback tonight for dinner.... got a coupon for a free Bloomin' Onion.

I stopped by my Circuit City (The City) yesterday to see if they had any left. There was still quite a few left on the shelf. Picked up The Rundown and Seabiscuit.

I also got The Ultimate Matrix for $50, the lady said the box sets were not ringing 50% Sunday or Monday but now are.

I picked up Smokin Aces on Sunday and somehow lost the freakin thing. I am so pissed. I have the other 4 I bought with it but I set the thing down somewhere and it is gone. I even checked the garbage and the recycling in case it got thrown out. My kids will find it in 40 years behind a couch when I die and they clean out my house.

Not media -- but I gave in and bought the $37 Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on at Kmart (deal posted earlier). I decided with as many HD DVDs as I've been buying lately -- I ought to protect my investment with another player if my A3 croaks.

Just curious (for comparison purposes) what the average price is that others have ended up paying for each HD DVD title they've acquired as part of any clearance sales.

Mine works out to $10 and some change per title (and no used titles for me). That includes all three Mission Impossible films, the second two Bourne films, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Eastern Promises, Tremors, Timecop, The Host, and Pan's Labyrinth. How about you guys?

$0. I'm not buying until they put these things on sale.

I should go back to get The Ultimate Matrix, but only if the same guy who was an @ss on Sunday is working there and say "Thanks douche-rocket" after paying for it. They won't get my money.....I'll order it online.

If $8-$10 a title isn't low enough for you, I don't know what to tell you, buddy.

Agreed.
I am not touching another HD DVD until they are sub $10. $8-$10 is fine with me, not a penny more into a dead format.

Star Trek S1 wouldn't ring on sale at CC (would've been $80)
