$8 - $10 is fine with me, but I haven't seen this yet. This thread is full of "sales" at $12.50 - $15.00.

Where can I buy HD DVDs right now at $8 - $10???

P.S. - Not interested in Australian mail-order houses, thank you.

I look every day....believe me! I'm continuously getting sniped on eBay, and with half's shipping, it kills the deal.

Mind you, I am selective about my movies, and check my sig, I already bought most of what I want while I was supporting the damn format.

Here is my wish list at DeepDiscount:

U-571 [HD DVD]
Inventory: In-Stock $12.30

The Mummy [HD DVD]
Inventory: In-Stock $12.30

Elizabeth [HD DVD]
Inventory: In-Stock $12.30

Mallrats [HD DVD]
Inventory: In-Stock $12.30

Caddyshack [HD DVD]
Inventory: In-Stock $15.73

I realize this is just one source, but is is indicative of the prices found elsewhere on the web right now.

I hear ya. I keep my eyes open all the time as well, and with the exception of the sub-$10 Weinstein titles and a few others, everything seems to be hovering in the $12-$20 range for new. Used, such as Blockbuster (picked up a few for 2 for $20 there), seems to be the only place to get them sub-$12 w/ shipping and tax, and the supply and variety on that is erratic.

Yeah, I was also hoping to buy a lot of hd-dvds for $10 or less. The ones that are $10 or less, I already have the ones I want.
Maybe we need to wait another couple of months.

The best deal has been to add an hd dvd to the on and off special sale at columbia house if you are a member. I picked up Elizabeth Golden Age, American Gangster, Beowolf, Michael Clayton and others this way.

outpost.com has some good prices but lot of titles are OOS. If you have Fry's near you, they have in stock for same prices. Got Blade Runner CE for $19.99, V for Vendetta was $13.33

Dude, have you even seen those movies? Matador is pretty good, and Clerks 2 isn't bad, either (though it would help if you like Kevin Smith).

Yep, only a few from that list are actually "bad". Many of those are rather good.

Never dealt with their site before, but dvdcrave has a handful of titles at around $10 before shipping, including Shrek 3, Beowulf and Knocked up.

Wish that DVDCrave had a bigger selection, those are decent deals -- particularly for Beowulf. It's strange, though, they have some HD DVDs going for around the $8-$11 (before shipping) but then they have some that are over $40.

Don't know anything about the site's reliablility either.

Agreed. I just put Beowulf and Knocked Up in my cart, and it came out to $26 USD shipped. Not bad, but I already own Knocked Up...

I can't "see" DVDCrave from behind my firewall (though I can routinely get to/shop at dzyDVD... weird). Could someone summarize the titles/prices and their shipping rates, pls?

Good deals indeed on those, Beowulf especially. I might have bit for Atonement & Beowulf with combined shipping (the last 2 HD-DVDs really on the want list for me and the wife) but they don't have Atonement. It's proven hard to find the very newest of the releases for good prices. Amazon wants $28 for Atonement!

To me, the pricepoint is about $11-$12 on these clearance sales. $15 isn't low enough, as I picked up most of the titles that have hit $15 on the clearance sales for cheaper than that on B1G1s last year.

So far from the firesales I've picked up MP & The Holy Grail and The Bourne trilogy (sold Ultimatum to a buddy for $10, to get the first two for $10 each).

I really haven't gotten anything else beyond 6 of the $10 Hollywood Video discs (2 of which still need 2-disc cases ). Some of these I would have rented before buying if I could have (Transformers, Eastern Promises, Elizabeth: the Golden Age).

It's been pretty slim pickings for me, too. Then again I only have about 25 discs so there's not that many titles I'm big on.

FYI for Canadians, it looks like most FS B&M stores have adjusted their prices (although not online). I got Pan's Labyrinth and Eastern Promises for $7.99 each, plus there were a ton of other HDs there for $12.99.
