so i could wait no longer and ordered a variety of things from Amazon and DDD...should amazon do a b1g1 sale in the next month, would they credit me for half of the discs i bought? I know they are great about price drops, but never tried for a b1g1.

Anyone wanting any of these, definitely buy them now. No reason to wait unless you'll be out of the country the next week and not able to go back for the price adjustment.

Given the previous rumors of stores wanting to clear out all stock by the end of this month, I was really hoping to see some price drops this morning, but it's not looking that way. The Circuit City sale might be promising if it's online and the reductions are off their prices instead of MSRP. If that ends up being the case, I'll probably drop about $250 with them on Sunday and then be pretty much done with buying HD DVDs.

Amazon is doing a decent sale, by it's third party sellers. I picked up a bunch of discs for about $8 bucks.
The Hulk
The Thing
Feast
The Frighteners
Like I said, they aren't from Amazon directly, but still, bunch of good deals on there if you look for 'em.

I stopped by Circuit City on my lunch to see what their selection was like. This store might have just been lazy in updating prices, but nearly everything was marked at $29.99 or $34.99. The cheapest I saw was $24.99 on the Lethal Weapon movies. If next week's sale is 50% off those prices, I probably won't be buying anything.

I was really hoping they'd lower pricing a bit more before sending them back. My store has several copies of Star Trek, and I might have purchased one if they weren't priced so ridiculously high. Oh well.

Well, if you can find any decent films at CC, you can pricematch their website at the store (there aren't too many movies on their site over $19.99) and hopefully have them refund you when the 50% sale starts. I just picked up six Universal titles pricematched to $14.99 each and am hoping to get half of that back come Sunday.

Apologies if this was covered elsewhere in the thread.
If Best Buy is pulling their HD-DVDs 3/26, would it be prudent to buy now, then price match to Circuit City's 50% sale next week? Do you think Best Buy would match the prices, even if they decide to no longer carry HD-DVDs in the store?
There was a couple titles that I meant to get whose price then spiked up at Amazon (The Host, for one) so this may be a better option.
Any thoughts?
