I was away from home when I made my post. Since then I have had a chance to fold in all of the annoying tabs on my Universal titles. Never knew that they were designed that way.

As threads go, this has been one of the more useful ones I have seen lately. My thanks to the OP, Viper187, and those who posted the answer to the question.

I just tried the push out of the way thing on all my releases I got yesterday. While the BD cases from Sony and Disney did this fine, the Uni case from Fletch was not as good. The tab doesn't push down far enough, so the result is the case bulges a little at that side. So away the tab went.

I'll be damned. I was pissed that the clip on my "Wall Street" BR woudn't stay closed and was just dangling half open. Never thought about pushing the clip down into the case. Real useful, thanks!

I like the "Elite" cases that Fox and WB uses, but those aren't nearly as sturdy as the ones with the latch. I've received several broken "Elite" cases in shipments.

GREAT THREAD!!

I too didn't know those clips can pushed down inside

You learn something new everyday

I find the Blu's look cooler than the Burgandy hd's but they do stack up very nicely and evenly on my dvd rack except for the Pirate Movies. I left them in their cardboard covers cause they look nicer that way. I'm just anal that way I guess

What a great tip! Thanks. I've been ripping 'em off, and I noticed the "gap". Although my collection is well protected and thus dust is probably not an issue, I really didn't like the idea of mutilating the case. I can't believe I hadn't noticed this before.

This warranted a YouTube How-To. Yeah, it's a crude video shot with my digital camera, but you get the idea.

Nice video, thanks! I noticed that there are even tiny clips inside the case to hold down the flap after it's been folded inside. I wonder why there's been no word from the studios or HDM manufacturers about this great feature?
