There's only one grave. It's supposed to simulate motion.

Django on 5/25 as well:
Blue Underground has announced two movies for release on Blu-ray on May 25: the giallo horror cult movie City of the Living Dead, directed by Lucio Fulci, and the spaghetti western Django, directed by Sergio Corbucci. Both of them have received new video transfers from the original camera negative.

Django Special Features -

* Django: The One And Only: interviews with star Franco Nero and assistant director Ruggero Deodato
* The Last Pistolero: short film starring Franco Nero (BD-exclusive)
* Western, Italian Style: a 1968 documentary about the Spaghetti Western phenomenon containing interviews with directors Enzo G. Castellari, Sergio Sollima and Sergio Corbucci (BD-exclusive)
* International trailer
* Italian Trailer
* Franco Nero intro (BD-exclusive)

Awesome! And a new Nero intro? I'm sold. Glad to see they're also included The Last Pistolero that was on the bonus disc from the DVD.

Django is one of the best Spaghetti Westerns ever made. Day one purchase for that and City of the Living Dead.

I agree with this statement except that I think Django is number 3 or 4 on the spaghetti western list. Certainly day 1 purchases for both movies

via blu-ray.com forums:

I just received this email from Blue Underground:

"Thank you for your email. We're glad you're enjoying our Blu-ray releases and hope you continue to purchase them! THE CRAZIES will be released on Blu-ray on Feb. 23rd. We are just beginning work now on THE PROWLER Blu-ray, which should be released by Halloween. Look for an official announcement in the coming months on our website: www.blue-underground.com"

I've been patiently waiting for a Blu-ray release of The Prowler. So happy to hear it's officially in the works.

Prowler is cool and all, but Lustig needs to get working on his top-tier titles asap. Where's Maniac?

via blu-ray.com:

I emailed Blue Underground to thank them for the best news I've heard all year: City of the Living Dead and Prowler. After I was through smoochin' their buns, I asked them what happened to Maniac, and they responded:

We are currently working on a brand new HD transfer of MANIAC, which will be released as a 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray later this year. Details will be announced on our website in the coming months.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

I can't believe how good The New York Ripper looks in 1080p. Wow. What a revelation. The BD and the 2009 SE DVD put the 1999 Anchor Bay DVD and the 2008 Blue Underground DVD to shame.

I'd love to see Kathryn Bigelow's the Loveless released on Blu, especially with all the attention she's receiving for Hurt Locker.
