One man's garbage is another man's treasure?
What do you guys think of this deal I found on craigslist?
I'm format neutral but it seems like a good deal to get me a nice backup drive/bedroom player and some nice titles. I have most of the titles but they could be ebayed or traded. I got him down to $125 for everything.
I'm letting my Toshiba HD-DVD (HD-A30) player go. I'm also including the following movies:
Complete Matrix Trilogy (still sealed)
300
Bourne Identity
Dune
The Mummy
Serenity
Waterworld

So many here have bragged about getting hi-def discs for an avg price of $10 each. Factor in deals on the player of a low of $100. They could have paid a low of $160 new for that stuff. Even if they paid $300, they feel that the difference is worth it to them.
There are those people on one side of the equation, then there are those who are looking to buy a backup player or two. I don't see that as being any more "prudent" than what that guy is doing.
