You are right on. It was his decision that WB went Blu. Fox was never going to join as this rumor caught on so that the hd-dvd crazies could save face. Thank Mr. Bewkes.

The only studio that was approached by the Toshiba camp, significantly earlier, before the WB move, was LionsGate. Even though this is a well known fact admitted by the Blu insiders no one really discussed it. There are no excuses to be made with it.

The notion that Fox was ready to switch on the other hand, as Mr.Cinema and others have already pointed out, was dismissed by the same people who admitted the LionsGate approach (not Max).

At the end of the day it does not matter. Mr. Bewkes gets all the credit.
