Is there any way to resolve this issue with an HDTV? I own a Sharp 32DA5U, and it has a serious banding issue when using HDMI. When I connect anything through component cables, it looks fine, but I can't upconvert using this method.

There is some sort of computer input in the back, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix the banding issue through that input. It may sound a little crazy, but I'm just shooting in the dark right now.
