67.71% of currently released Blu-rays are region free. For a complete listing of Blu-rays you can import to the U.S. use

One of my all-time favorites as well, but I am scaried to order this because of the running times listed.

Amazon: 122 min
Sendit.com: 118 min

The Director's Cut is supposed to be 155 minutes, and I prefer to own that version. I know it says Extended Cut on the case but those listed running times suggest otherwise. What do you guess think of this?

I think it's ok to order. I don't think I've ever seen truly accurate information for blu-ray imports from sendit or amazon anyway.

I apologize to everyone. I just noticed that the issue I just posted was discussed earlier in the thread. My bad.

It seems that all three versions overseas will get the Bootleg Cut. It’s very confusing as Paramount/DreamWorks owns the rights in the U.S. (which means HD-DVD only), but Sony holds the rights in most other countries (which means Blu-Ray). Also, Japan and the USA are in the same region, so if you have a U.S. Blu-Ray player, it will play the Japanese Blu-Ray! It also seems that UK release will be “all regions” and will also play on a U.S. Blu-Ray player.

It's a lovely picture that completely misrepresents the movie, almost to a ridiculous degree.

Agreed.

I think I'll wait until we can get confirmation on the cut.

Amazon.co.uk is now showing the runtime as 162 minutes.

Good enough for me. I'm in. One of my all time favorite movies. Just didn't want to get burned on a $28 version of the theatrical cut.

Not really. The movie sorta revolves around the Penny Lane love triangle.

If Cameron Crowe's official website says it's the Untitled cut, I think it's safe to preorder the thing.

Anyone order anything from Amazon UK before (living in the US). How long should I expect for it to take for it to arrive?

I usually receive my amazon UK discs within a week air mail, usually faster than their US site's standard shipping, believe it or not.

Amazon UK has great service and fast shipping. They also deduct VAT from international orders, so your price at checkout will be less than the price listed on the web site.

So I may be paying less then what Paramount would actually charge if this was released on HD DVD...nice. Looking forward to this. Time to sell my Bootleg Edition DVD Copy.

UK titles are released on Mondays, so I usually receive them by Saturday.

You're probably looking at 10 mailing days. That's been my experience.

I would hold on to my U.S. Bootleg Cut standard DVD. I don't think these Blu-Ray releases will have any significant extras..
