Best Deal on a PS3?

Wondering what the current deals (free movies, rebate, discounts) are on the PS3? My friend is hot on buying one, and I mentioned that Sony had that deal on getting $100 off for signing up for a credit card (not sure if that is still around) and he knows of best buy doing 10 free movies...so..

What are the PS3 Deals right now?

Probably sonystyle.com with credit card signup - $399 for 40gb PS3 minus $100 credit. That's what a friend of mine will be doing.

Best Buy isn't doing a deal with the 5 free instore movies on the PS3. Only standalone players.

The only one that I have even seen is a $100 statement credit AFTER a purchase of 299 or more at SonyStyle.com.

So you apply and get approved for the Sony Card and then buy the 40GB PS3 for 399 with your new SonyStyle card, taxes and shipping may apply, the wait per Sony credit.

I'd just keep an eye out on a refurb or open box through amazon or another reputable site. They usually get 60gb refurbs in for around $350 and those would have the best resell value if you ever choose to upgrade.

You can purchase it at any Sony Style store, including the website. Big cities usually have a mall with a store you can visit in person.

The credit card has no interest for the first year, so there's no direct losing of money by waiting 2-3 months.
