So instead of refunding me two Blu-Ray Harry Potters...I am being forced to REBUY them and then send them back for a refund on my original purchase in December.

Why not make it easy and customer efficient by just issuing a refund? Perhaps it is because everytime I call I get someone who BARELY speaks English.

Fuckin' dammit ! I had no plans at all, to buy any catalogue titles for a long time, but I've been wanting Kingdom of Heaven since it first came out on BD & was waiting for a price drop. Couldn't resist, picked up that & 28 Weeks Later, plus free shipping, what a sweet deal.

I got in on the BOGO with HD-DVD, but the BD prices of $27.95 piss me off. I know, it's really stupid because it is a great price if you get two for that price, but it still pisses me off.

I passed.

Well, I was done for a while because I thought my 10% was over, but seems not (and I was in on the 10% pretty early on) so I get sucked back in for Mr and Mrs Smith and Kingdom of Heaven.

Same thing man.. If Kingdom of Heaven and Rescue Dawn were $19.95, I would have definitely clicked that order button. But the extra $7.50 kills it for me.

Well I finally succumbed to the wiles of Harry Potter and picked up all 4 titles on blu as well as Castaway and Hairspray on a seperate order. I really love the selection of titles on this batch. Kudos to Amazon!

Yeah, no 10% discount for me either, but I still placed an order for Cast Away and Hairspray, with the DVDSAVE5 coupon, $22.95 shipped for both. I really wanted Cast Away, so the extra movie was a bonus.

I think I may take a movie I got from BB promotion to Borders, since it looks like the BOGO is also available through Borders. Then, I could just rebuy the title (it's available on the list) and get another free.

Hopefully this sale lasts until tomorrow, and doesn't change much.

Warning about returning Blu-ray and HD DVD discs to Borders. I got shot down twice at two different Borders because they wouldn't accept discs that they haven't sold yet. Stores usually get 1 copy of it and they told me that they couldn't accept it since they haven't sold a copy yet. YMMV.

Interesting. These are higher profile titles, so I'd imagine they'd have sold at least one. But, thanks for the heads up.

Given the low prices you bought them at, you should be able to sell them at a profit at Half.com/Ebay or Amazon Marketplace. Or you could use them as trade bait in the Sale/Trade thread here. That would be easier and more cost effective than trying to return them to Amazon.
