Something tells me they just wait and wait, untill you get urked, and that once you call, you get put ahead of the list, and get your discs.

I can't remember the exact date I sent away for the discs but it was roughly December 19-20. I just received my 5 free discs today! Just about 2 months. Not bad.
I never had to call or email or anything.

Still nothing for me of course. Funny thing is I received the $10 rebate for buying The Rock on blu-ray. I mail that on the 12th of Jan and received it yesterday. How the heck do I get that before the disks when I sent the disk rebate in around November...odd

I purchased my PS3 a few days too late to get in on this but I'd like to. All I need is a copy of a reciept dated 1/31 or prior for a PS3 (80gb if it states it in the reciept). Can anyone help a fellow DVDTalker out?

So, I'm at a "movie night" at a co-workers house last night and one of his neighbors was there. Turns out the guy works at the place that fulfills all these orders (as well as the HDDVD promo, cereal box tops, etc.) here in Minneapolis. I was giving him a hard time about all the nightmare stories I read from people who had trouble with their orders and he wasn't surprised.
When you mail your form to El Paso, TX, it is then transported (along with all the others they got that day) to Mexico for the data entry. Then the fulfillment center in Minneapolis gets the orders and, well, fulfill them. He said the biggest delay is getting the discs from the studios. The fullfillment center is the LAST place they send available discs to (as opposed to retail stores) since they aren't making any money off them. If a particular title you requested is selling well during that time, the studio could be sending all the discs they press of it to stores. If you request all titles that the studios have surplus of, you're likely to get your discs sooner than expected.
He also said you wouldn't believe the number of submissions that are practically illegible on the form. Especially considering that foreigners are doing the data entry.
Of course, I asked if I could just come pick up my discs that I submitted for last week and he just laughed.

Side note: I received the ones I checked.

I called again today and my replacements, from December 26th, are still in processing. I told the guy they need to get off their asses and take care of the customers that have been waiting since September. It is ridiculous that my father-in-law's dvds sent off for in December have arrived long before mine. Telling me that they have 8-10 weeks to actually process the order is a bit much since they already had my info. in the system and I was cleared long ago to get my movies. Open an envelope, throw the damn movies in there, write my address on it, label and apply postage and then ship the damn thing already!

I know this question has probably already been asked, but I don't want to go through six pages.
Anyways, I got a 40GB PS3 yesterday, and I was wondering if I can get the 5 free Blu-ray discs?
I'm Canadian, just keep that in mind.
