$14.96 HD DVD titles at WALMART this friday
From AVS:
Starting Friday at 7AM WM will start running its first "Secret Sale". There will be 3 different sales this holiday all with different items.

With tax that's only a couple bucks cheaper than I could get them for every day at Amazon, but still a great deal for those who need them.
I assume FMJ will be the original release and not the new one.

Walmart is supposed to begin some of their Black Friday pricing early this year. These HD DVD titles are part of that. Walmart's website tomorrow is supposed to list the other items as part of their "secret sale". Supposedly, they will be getting shipments of these movies for Friday.

The Wal-Mart closest to me stocks a grand total of 2 HD DVDs and about siz or seven Blu-Rays. I guess they go by demographics when deciding how much to stock. Too bad the per capita income of Cecil County, Md. is so low.

Mine has an OK selection but the only thing on that list that remotely interest me is The Italian Job, but I already own the SD copy and don't need to spend $15 for HD. If Batman Begins were on there, which I realize would only be $3-4 off, I'd probably pick that up.

DAMMIT! I just got Lebowski!
Could go for Unforgiven and 12 Monkeys. Are these titles worth it in HD? I had the 2-disc SE of the former and never bought 12 Monkeys after all these years.
EDIT: Didn't notice Casino on there. Another possibility too.

I'd Highly Recommend Unforgiven and Backdraft. These titles are not so popular but the picture is a shitload better than the originals.

There is also a very unsubstaniated rumor that there will be a Toshiba HD A2 HD DVD player for $99. I wouldn't hold my breath though.
There will be a Acer Laptop for $348 though.

I see a few there that I would pick up. I don't know how our selection is at the local wal-mart. I set foot in there as little as possible, but maybe this friday I'll make an exception to check it out. Any idea if this will apply at midnight? Edit: Looks like 8am.
