The Weinstein Company hasn't released anything in high-def since June, and they have no titles on the schedule. It's anyone's guess if they're going to bother releasing anything before the year's out or not.

It does seem like they've given up on high-def, at least for the time being.

They are releasing 'Hard Boiled' as an add-on with your purchase of 'Stranglehold' on the PS3.

They licensed it to Midway, but they're not actually releasing it themselves.

Not to mention, has Weinstein ever been day and date with their releases? Even if they do release it, it may not be a while.

Who usually distributes Weinstein discs? I saw that Feast (which is something of an under appreciated gem of b-movie schlock, just saw it last night, wish it included more Project Greenlight S3 material) was released by Genius (at least the HD-DVD was), but I haven't a clue who they are.

Genius is the distribution company for TWC.

I just gave up and purchased Death Proof on SDVD not knowing how long we would have to wait for a hi-def version.

I'm holding out for the HD Death Proof myself.

I had to grab the Steelbook. I'm a sucker for those things!

I had the Steelbook in my hands...but then I felt a cold chill run down my spine as I thought to myself..."Man...I am going to regret this when HD comes out"

If they don't have a release date for Death Proof, a surefire seller, then I doubt HD is even a minor priority for TWC, especially on a title like 1408.
