the trilogy would be 99.98$ + 39.98$ for LFODH, so I doubt you would be able to pick up the 4 movies for 70$

so with the 30% off that would indeed be around 100$

Sorry, I initially thought that it was a quadrilogy and not the trilogy so after discounts it is a 100 bucks. Grrr!

Asumming they go 30% off for the Trilogy box and LFODH, that'll come to $98.

However with the extra 10% I'll be getting it for $88 shipped 2-day.

So ~$22 a movie is not too shabby IMO.

If the die hard box was a quadrilogy, I'd get it...as it stands, I'll probably only get Live Free or Die Hard and wait to pick up the others used down the road...

True, I forgot about the extra 10% off. That's about 90 bucks for all 4 movies. I can handle that, especially since it looks like I'll be able to sell off the Trilogy DVD set assuming the extras are ported over.

I'm not looking forward to 2008 though with the loss of the 10%. Hopefully Amazon will be smart and re-up it somehow.

I would buy The Fly for sure, out of those three. Lossless audio would rock on that.

First of all, yes, I will absolutely buy Edward Scissorhands (a 105-minute movie with one SD featurette and two commentaries--same as the DVD--will be fine in MPEG-2 on a BD-25). And secondly, thumbs up to Fox for actually using all 50 gigs of space with their Fly disc...when it was announced earlier this year, it wasn't going to have the documentary.

Still disappointed about Master and Commander's specs, but hey, Fox is doing right (special features-wise) by Edward Scissorhands, The Fly, and the Die Hard Trilogy so far (from what I'm buying from them).

Let's just hope that Independence Day will have seamless branching....

The Fly is a direct port! Here's hoping the Die Hard movies retain everything...

Glad to see the features, but please kill DTS MA if no one will support decoding it.

So several insiders on other forums (Blu-ray.com, AVS) that have been spot on in the past about delays/cancellations are getting e-mails from their distributors and/or Fox that Master and Commander and Amityville Horror have been delayed indefinitely, with possibly more titles to come. Good old Fox

EDIT: Nevermind, see Kocheese already reported this in the release date thread.

It's really not, but...in all sincerity, why does Fox bother announcing titles they have to know they're not going to release?

To show their support . . .

Even outside of their Blu-ray involvement, Fox has had a long history of talking about releases that never get released. The "True Lies" special edition springs to mind.
