Compared to the DVD edition some extras will be missing :
# le court métrage Les Mistons
# Portrait de François Truffaut
# Jean-Pierre Léaud au festival de Cannes
# le commentaire audio de Robert Lachenay, ami d'enfance de François Truffaut.

Actually, now that I think about it, the film really doesn't need subs. You can understand the story without them. Of course, they would help.

Rats. Just got a notice from Amazon UK that the release of The Seventh Seal on Blu-ray from Tartan Video has been pushed back to December 3rd.
I believe that this is the second delay for this title. Hope they don't end up pulling it all together.

Another title I'm interested in is Gangs of New York supposedly being released in the UK on September 30th.
I haven't been able to find a definitive answer as to whether this is an all-regions disc or not. Amazon UK claims it is, while others sites say "no." Any advanced copies out there with the answer?

From this website, the company that releases Gangs of New York, it says that they are Region B. Sorry.

In Europe, some early adopters have both, region A and region B players, they can tell if a disc is really region coded or not.
The announcement from the editor or the region code printed on the cover is not 100% sure.

A few notes:
I don't have any info on The Crimson Rivers yet since it arrives via Gaumont/SONY I would assume that as a catalog product it will be region-free. I will confirm when I could.
Days of Glory: THE TIMES are preparing a review I believe. If they don't post anything by Wednesday I will personally call the London office to find out (I've already spoken with Optimum 4 times so perhaps it is time to make friends with these chaps as well). Contact info:
3rd Floor
Royalty House
72 – 74 Dean Street
London
W1D 3SG
T 020 7534 2060
F 020 7534 2062
Amelie: Preliminary info indicates that the disc will likely be for French-Canadian territories only, hence, no English subs. I am also going to confirm when more becomes available.
Finally, If you have any specific questions regarding previous posts and info please ask directly (I am sorry but I do not know who Teddy M is and I don't know what question(s) you asked which I was supposed to answer...). It is easier for me when I see your question, PM-ing or emailing me directly...sometimes I lose track of people.

Warner-France planning 2008
Instead of posting this info in the Blu-Ray section only I am going to run it on a separate thread since there are plenty of HDDVD bits as well. Please note that this is a partial, preliminary, statement from WB-France and as the article suggests corrections are likely to occur. Thank you!
The good news, I think we could all agree on that, is that some notable titles such as Natural Born Killers, The Goonies, HEAT amongst others are indeed coming.
I am providing a summation of the article for those who won't be able to benefit from the French text directly:
(First of all in France TAXI 4, Ne le dis a Personne, and The Crimson Rivers will offer English subtitles.)
Next Warner-France will be releasing The Matrix on Blu-Ray in addition to Alfonso Cuaron’s Little Princess which is currently announced as Blu-Ray exclusive. The article also mentions some inconsistencies in the preliminary announcements where such titles as Tim Burton’s Batman, HEAT, Speed Racer are currently rumored only as HDDVD. As Kevin Prin (RAMA’s editor) points out however this isn’t a clear indicator that these titles, total of 12, will be excusive to HDDVD citing the fact that initially Warner announced 300 also as a HDDVD-only release.
I will spare you the rest but here are some of the preliminary announced by Warner 60 titles:
The 12 titles currently without a Blu-Ray “partner”:
• Batman de Tim Burton
• L'Exorciste
• La Ligne verte
• Heat
• The Matrix and The Matrix Online Card Game
• Wu Ji
• Robin des bois, prince des voleurs
• Les Evadés
• Les Révoltés du Bounty (1935)
• Speed Racer (2008)
• Superman II
• A la maison blanche – Saison 7
Blu-Ray Only:
Cauron’s Little Pincess

• 10,000 BC, de Roland Emmerich (2008)
• Appleseed Ex Machina
• L'Assassinat de Jesse James
• August Rush
• Aviator
• Batman Anime

I see they have L.A. Confidential on there. What happened to the 10th anniversary edition we were going to get?
I suppose "Le Choc des Titans" is Clash of the Titans. That should be interesting, as should That's Entertainment.

After that I went to a screening of Amelie at a local theater and won a raffle, which gave me another copy of the R1 2-Disc, a copy of Dirty Pretty Things, free movie passes and an artichoke
Oh well, I'm sure I won't be able to resist and pick up yet ANOTHER copy of this movie.

The chaps at MovieZoo have put the three covers for Mr. Jackson's trilogy. No release date as of yet but consider this:
This was the site that broke the news about Once Upon a Time in Mexico and The Legend of Zorro coming in the second half of December in Scandinavia (dates are now confirmed) before US dates were even announced as well as posting the info for the exclusive until then HDDVD Casablanca, now coming on Blu, Zodiac and Children of Men...all announcements turned out to be true.
