I'll grab them for my wife when they are individual releases.

Hell. I'd buy a repackaging of HP&TSS and HP&TCOS in keepcases on DVD just for some continuity.

Just look what they did to Harry Potter. The first 2 DVDs were such high quality cases. Then they changed it up. To any of us who own all 4 it's not like all 4 of our current ones match anyway, right? So jump aboard! 5 HD harry movies all at once. That's something to look foward to.

^You could sell your HP4 import now (while you can likely get a decent price for it) and get the box when it comes out. Assuming that you want all the movies in the box, of course.
If you are patient, it is likely that the movies will be released individually in the HD formats eventually.

Digitalbit states that the final cut will see a theatrical run ONLY in LA and NYC - boo!
A showcase theatrical run is also being planned for New York and Los Angeles October 5.

The Blade Runner Blu-ray briefcase is definitly gonna find a spot under my Christmas tree this year! Kinda ironic, cause the first DVD I got was the old snapper version (and I got it with a DVD player for Christmas). Now, this year, I'm probably gonna get the BD version plus a real BD Player (right now I'm just using a PS3, or will be come next payday).

The BR BR Briefcase (say that 3x's fast) is so mine it's not even funny!
I also have the Harry R2 HD import but am unsure as to what format I'll want the whole set to date. I'm leaning toward HD but the BR is mighty tempting.

I'm not a fan of digipaks (especially those with the damn overlapping discs), but oh well. I just hope the HD versions use a smaller (HD disc case-sized) digipak so it can fit in with the rest of my HD discs.

The Digital Bits says they were told by Warner contacts that all versions of Blade Runner will be in HD. They are not sure about the extra content as they haven't heard back. The regular 5-disc is only $27.95 at Amazon, so some thought they may just release the final version in HD and the rest in SD only. Glad it's not the case.

Well, The Digital Bits says that the extras will be in standard def. Warner told them the set wouldn't have been released this year if they encoded them in HD. So I'd rather have it the sooner, the better.

Regarding Harry Potter, 1-4 will also be available separately on 12/11 with a list price of $29.99 each.

Just an FYI that these sets are $83 after coupon at Warner's site. Up until the last month Warners also shipped out early, but they seem to be having some problems of late. With the cheap price and hopefully enough time to get their act together, it's a good buy.

This sucks! I'm torn between the exclusive extras on the Blu-ray release and the IME feature on the HD-DVD. Hopefully one of these years, Blu-ray will be able to support PiP so it'll be easier to choose between formats.
