When is [insert movie title of your choice here] coming to HD DVD?

Question, Do you think Lost will be released on HD DVD, I really want to buy the seasons but if they are going to pop up on HD DVD i'd rather wait and not double dip.

Secondly, Do you think Terry Gilliam movies will be on HD. 12 Monkeys already is and so is fear and loathing. What about Brazil and the fisher king, etc, tideland, ect?

But lost is my main question. anyone know or hear anything? Thanks

Not any time in the immediate future. It's Blu-ray exclusive for now.

Brazil will be coming sooner rather than later, I'd bet. The Fisher King is a Sony release, so it'd be Blu-ray exclusive. Tideland was released on DVD by Velocity/Thinkfilm; I don't believe they've announced support for either format.

would it make sense for universal to..

put out HD-DVD versions of all the classic movie monsters movies?
i think that would be an awsome idea and would move major copies.

while I would love to have Bride Of Frankenstein on HD DVD, I'm not as high on the original, and have never cared for Dracula- and if they did start putting them out, those would likely be the first two releases.
I wouldn't mind Wolfman or the original Mummy, but the later is in pretty rough shape. The higher res just might make the problems with the original elements that much more noticeable.

I guess I'm fine with the sd franchise sets for a while.

It would make sense for them to release their Hitchcock movies on HD-DVD. Imagine Vertigo and Rear Window in HD.

Well LOST belongs to a currently Blu-Ray exclusive studio who doesn't even plan to release it on Blu-Ray, so don't expect to see it on HD DVD for a looooong time.
