Why No Spider Man?

I figured Sony would want to release the Spider-Man films on Blu-Ray in time for Spider-Man 3 to promote it. Yet it hasn't been released, as far as I know.

Maybe when SM3 hits DVD in the fall...

Like they need to do anything to promote Spiderman 3, I would bet we get all three around Christmas - just in time for holiday shopping.

Yeah, I really figured at least it or Spider-Man 2 (with the new version coming out on DVD in just a few weeks) would have hit Blu Ray by now. Especially considering I've been seeing advertisements and clips and trailers on display at retailers since Blu Ray was first released last summer.

Was thinking the same thing. I've seen it enough in BD ads.

Waiting for Java support, maybe, like the Matrix releases?

Has there been any talk of a period of BR exclusivity for SM3? Before DVD, I mean.

I'd expect a trilogy set later this yr... This is Sony's flagship series, they need to go all out with them....2 disc sets, interactive Java, flawless A/V, etc.

This trilogy set would make me a blu-ray supporter. I haven't made the jump yet...

Maybe they've decided to hold off and wait for BD+. I know they're releasing some other catalog titles, but perhaps they just felt these were too important to leave "vulnerable."

A PS3 for $399, and the Spiderman trilogy in BR and I'll be a BR fanboy from there now.

I'm still wondering why they didn't bother to include it with the PS3.

Meh....

They could've easily sold it during the BD launch, PS3 launch and re-released it as some "super, special edition" with Spidey 3.

Everyone want's Spidey.

Hell, I want it in HD and I don't even own BD yet.

Yeah, Spiderman 2 is in the list of upcoming titles on the trailer on Casino Royale.

Maybe we will see all three this fall in a set?
