Hi guys,

I was wondeing if anyone here had any information about if/when the WB will release Smallville on Blu-Ray. It is one of my favorite shows and would like to see it sometime in the near future.

Thanks.

Smallville S5 is one of those titles that WB released on HD-DVD but has still not announced for BD. The company has said they would get around to putting everything out on Blu-ray this year, so I'd guess you'll see it sometime in 2007. But no dates yet.

Smallville does have an In-Movie Experience (well, titled an "In-Program Experience" here for obvious reasons) on HD DVD, so it'll probably come when the tools are available for Blu-ray for similar functionality.

If only Universal would see the light now. I'm not an HD-DVD basher I have 20 or so HD-DVD movies but don't have the player anymore I decided to go with Blu-Ray after I saw there were more movies I like on the format. But I do have alot of the Universal/WB titles on HD-DVD that I dont have the heart to get rid of yet.

I find it funny that you are posting this in a thread about a currently HD DVD exclusive title that is probably only exclusive because Blu-ray can't get their BD-Java/video commentary to work.

Yea but I started the thread. and its just my opinion. I'm sure the kinks will get worked out and they will have Smallville on BD. But till that day comes I can stick with the SD DVD of the season.
