You would have to make sure that the player not being used is completely powered off and preferably unplugged or else you'll get terrible feedback. A Y-adaptor like this may also weaken the strength of the signal being sent. That said, it should theoretically work.

Personally, I just bought 2 RCA switchers, one for the front 3 channels and one for the back channels & subwoofer. Works fine. Cost me $20 all told.

Phillips makes a switcher for component video that can be used to switch 6 channel audio. Its $20 at Wal-mart and works well.

Hadn't thought about possible feedback, I'll go with switchers. Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't been able to find such switchers at anything like those prices via internet searches, but I'll keep looking.

Search for "video game selectors". Might help.

^ Thanks! I never would have thought of that, having no experience with video games.

Is this an example of what you are talking about?:

or this?:

or this?:

The latter is similar to what I bought locally, though mine looks a little less cheapo (but only cost $10 each).

Yes, I found that one at my local Wal-mart yesterday, thanks for the suggestion. A switcher with three six channel inputs and one three channel input for $20 is a good deal. Some pictures:

That is the one I used for a long time with my A1 and Denon. Worked great. I don't have the A1 anymore, but still find it useful for its designed purpose of switching different component sources. Have all my main game systems in one cabinet hooked up to it now.

here is another review of Crank. Makes me jealous

TrueHD is a huge difference to DD, so im guessing PCM would be the same
