If you have a region-free player, there's an Italian disc, reviewed here.

I'd like to get the remaining Coen Brothers movies on Blu-ray. Hopefully when True Grit is released there will possibly be some tie-ins.

A proper transfer of "Mr. Holland's Opus" would be pretty sweet.

Disney Titles You're Anticipating For Release

I have been really impressed with the Disney BD's that I've purchased/received lately. Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast are by far the best I've seen.

I am hoping for a BD release of The Little Mermaid (with tons of extras/bonus features and ridiculous packaging options close to what Snow White got... did anyone see the Limited Edition Collector's Set?) and Aladdin. Anyone else have any Disney titles they would like to see released on BD?

I don't know if you mean just animated or all Disney company releases.

Animated:
Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Robin Hood
and in the it's never gonna happen category: Song Of The South.

Hell, all my wants are long shots.

As already mentioned... The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, and Jackie Brown. My personal favorites which will probably never see the light of Blu-ray day... At Close Range, and Crush Groove.

Also, Jurassic Park, the Star Wars theatrical editions, as well as some Christmas classics that aren't out yet like The Night They Saved Christmas, The Angel From Pennsylvania Avenue, and The Christmas Secret.

Jurassic Park was mentioned early in the year for a November release but we never heard anything about it. Hopefully we won't have to wait for an anniversary year. Will be a day 1 purchase for me.

I've completely cooled to Star Wars. As someone who saw the original in 1977, I've always had an appreciation for the series and loved taking my son to see the SE's and prequels when they were released. However all the changes to his "original vision" have left me disinterested in getting and future versions. Every step Lucas takes seems to be a step backward. That can happen when a guy has an idea becomes a big hit and he starts believing his own press about what a genius he must be.

I'm probably one of few people here who would love to own Ready To Rumble on blu-ray. It is one of my favorite comedies ever.

I don't suppose there's any word on a BD release?

I like to see Sony release Das Boot with both theatrical and director's cut.

SINGIN' IN THE RAIN and WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE are apparently coming from WB this year. SUNSET BLVD, much as I'd love to see it, will probably not happen unless Paramount decides to do a Billy Wilder Blu set (along with SARBINA and STALAG 17), or Criterion licenses it/them.
