Just got notified that INHD will be showing A Clockwork Orange Thursday, January 11 at 12 AM ET. Also, right before that at 8pm Et, Porky's II: The Next day, and then after that at 10pm ET, Porky's Revenge.
Fun filled night on INHD, eh?

They have played ACO on an HD station before right? I thought that I heard about it.

Yah, I think they Played ACO on HDNet before, but since my comcast doesn't carry hdnet, i was left wanting. But now, this'll do, though I do hate the INHD watermark that is always on.

Does INHD edit content? I wouldn't think so, since doing so would reduce Clockwork Orange to about 10 minutes, but you never know.

I've seen A Clockwork Orange on INHD before. It was uncut. It looked alright. Definitely better than the SD-DVD, but no "wow" moments at all.

I've been hanging on to my recorded copy from HDnet since the DVD is not 16:9 enhanced. It's definitely a better alternative to the DVD.

Question about InHD-do they show many, if any Fox movies?

I've noticed that HDnet shows a lot of movies from WB, Sony, Uni and Buena Vista, but I don't believe I've ever seen a Fox movie on their channel. Just wondering if it's some kind of exclusive thing Fox has with another HD channel.

I actually taped this off INHD a couple months ago. I don't get HDNET, which sucks since it carries hd versions of Arrested Development. It's not edited.....if I can remember correctly.

It looked fantastic on HDNet a few months ago, miles ahead of the DVD. They showed it several times.

There are quite a few impressive moments IMHO. Depends on your provider. We have comcast which is pretty good. My fiancee's family ad DirectTV and the same channels there look like crap in comparison. Would love to see "The Shining"!

I have the Shining and 2001 on my DVR as well. Shining looks very nice for its age. I deleted Full Metal Jacket when I picked up the HD DVD. I know that disc is not very well reviewed, but the disc still looked better than the HDnet showing, but by very little.

HDnet also showed Barry Lyndon. I think an HD-DVD Kubrick box set of the WB films would be awesome.

Yeah, I've had this on my Comcast DVR for a while now, looks great, but I can't stand that watermark either. Also have Pee Wee's Big Adventure from INHD, but the watermark doesn't bother me as much on that one.

They don't edit, but they do add a giant INHD logo that takes up about 1/4 of the screen.

Is it as bad as the logo for The CW?

I wouldn't say that it's 1/4 of the screen, tho since it is a bit larger than most it does get friggin annoying. I'd say it's about the same size as the NBC logo, but it never goes away!

They also alter OAR to fill the 16x9 screen sometimes.

Yes, but in the case of A Clockwork Orange that actually works out for the best. It's currently the only way to see the movie at close to its theatrical aspect ratio.

Was ACO originally 1.85:1?

I thought it was 1.66:1.

Anywhere between 1.66:1 (European standard ratio) and 1.85:1 (American standard ratio) is valid. Split the difference and you get a perfect 16:9.

I've noticed HDnet has started putting a small bug on their films, but it only shows up every 30 minutes or so and only sticks around for about 30 seconds.

I shot HDNet movies an email about this a couple of months ago, and what I got as a response, was that are trying to work out a deal to showcase Fox films, so far I haven't seen any... maybe later in the year (fingers crossed).
