1. This release actually happens and doesn't get pushed back like others have...
2. Fox actually carries over all the bonus features from the previous 2-disc SE standard def releases...
If so, I'll be first in line to buy, hear me Fox, do us right!!!

1,000 posts is the magic cut-off point for threads in DVD Talk, and since this one's inching toward that point, what would you like to see happen with a new one?
DVD Talk's system can't seem to handle the length of Grubert's calendar. Would someone be interested in starting/maintaining a new one?

There's a lot of non-relevant posts in here or just ramblings (no offense meant, and I do it myself). Maybe have a locked Grubert Calendar, then another thread where people can comment about it. New information can then be transfered to the Grubert Calendar.

I am really bummed out that the OP doesn't have the awesome calendar anymore. I would love to see the old system come back. Possibly the 1st post be one format and the second post be the other?
I also would like to see the color system updated a little to make it less complicated.
I don't know about everyone else, but I loved using his calendar to go through once a month and make my pre-orders.

For those buying the HD DVD of Knocked Up:
There's an error on the packaging/product description for the HD DVD version.
The back cover states that Side B (the standard side) is the R-rated 2hr, 9 minute cut, but it's actually the Unrated 2hr., 13 minute cut...same cut as on the HD side.
Checked this against both the review copy I had as well as actual product.
Not a HUGE deal, but for those thinking they would have both cuts of the movie if they bought the HD DVD, I felt it was important to get the info out there.

Has anyone been able to find Jail House Rock on HD-DVD or Blue Ray at Circuit City, Best Buy, Wal-Mart or Target? Thanks for any info you might have for me on this subject.

Agree that the original is vastly superior to the sequel.

Report: New Line Readying 'Rush Hour 3' for Blu-ray Release; HD DVD to Follow
Fri Sep 21, 2007 at 02:43 PM ET
New Line is apparently planning a next gen release for 'Rush Hour 3,' with the Blu-ray expected just after Christmas, and the HD DVD to follow sometime in 2008.
Although it was critically reviled, the third film in the Jackie Chan-Chris Tucker franchise has grossed $133 million in the five weeks since its theatrical release in early August.
Now, according to information published by Home Media Magazine, New Line is planning a next-gen release for the film, with the Blu-ray edition hitting stores on December 26, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD (a rare Wednesday street date).
The second next-gen title to surface from dual-format supporting studio New Line, like 'Hairspray' before it, The HD DVD version of 'Rush Hour' will hit stores sometime after the Blu-ray. (As part of its initial announcement for 'Hairspray,' the studio said that region-coding concerns would prevent it from immediately releasing many of its early titles on HD DVD, but it promised they would see release sometime in early 2008.)
Although New Line has yet to issue a press release with specs, according to Home Media Magazine, the 2-disc platinum edition DVD is set to include audio commentary, deleted scenes and a featurette. We can only assume those features will find their way to the next-gen releases as well.
Both the Blu-ray and the forthcoming HD DVD editions are listed with a $39.99 list price. We'll let you know when more information on this title comes in.
