Life of Brian!!!!! Wow. Hope it's a full blown restoration since the Criterion isn't looking too hot these days.

If Sony puts out Holy Grail I may mess my pants. :D

What studio has the rights to that these days?

Supermallet 08-22-07 06:38 AM

Anchor Bay, but I don't know who they're licensing from.

Should be interesting to see if Anchorman contains the Wake Up Ron Burgandy extra feature.

Life of Brian is a nice surprise. I'll hang onto the Criterion DVD for the extras, but I hope Anchor Bay(aka Starz) does a good job on the transfer.

Very doubtful. It would need to be a two disc set, unless it was in SD.

2-disc sets aren't a rarity for Paramount.

matome 08-22-07 01:13 PM

Yep, I'll vouch for Kocheese's info.

The Bus 08-22-07 01:45 PM

That's a lot of Will Ferrell from Paramount.

Damn, I was kinda hoping that Anchorman would be the theatrical cut, since there's only a full screen version of that. Oh well.

Drexl 08-23-07 07:34 PM

Is Saturday Night Fever still coming next month?

JoeyOhhhh 08-23-07 10:01 PM

I wonder if Dreamworks will release Wake Up, Ron Burgandy also.

With the combined runtime of the two movies clocking in at about 3hrs and 15 min., I don't see why not one disc. After all, a single 30GB HD DVD is good for about 4 hours of HD video.

Yeah but the regular DVD was CRAMMED with extras. I don't see how they can get all that stuff on there and another feature.

Two discs are fine with me though.
