Speaking of Warner, looks like they've finally picked up the ball on lossless audio for Blu-Ray. We Are Marshall has been listed at DVDEmpire for a 9/18 release with TrueHD for both formats.

Pirates 3 is the only one I will buy, but here are some rumored release dates (should be day-and-date with the DVD releases):

Amazon lists it as 96 minutes and unrated, so that would make it the extended cut.

If they do release 28 Days Later in HD, I wouldn't waste your money. It was shot on 480p video, so it won't look any different than the DVD.

Didn't the head of Dreamworks Animation already declare that they had no interest in releasing on either HD format? Until I see an official announcement from studios, this list smacks of wishful thinking.

Yeah, I'm not really buying that either... though certainly Shrek 3 would be the title for them to start with.

So was the Galapagos series not very long? I just assumed it would be a multi-disc set... Might make a good companion piece to Planet Earth me thinks.

It's taken Universal a year to release the first Bourne film.

That is because they wanted to torture those of us hunting for one of the two dozen copies printed of the D-Theater version.

Awesome news about Smallville. I watched all of Seasons 1-5 on dvd and not once during their first-run on tv. Season 6, I watched the premiere then got sidetracked, so it'll be nice to watch the whole season in a week's time period.

No mention of an IME feature on the HD DVD.

Yeah, but this is even worse. You can follow Bourne Supremacy pretty well without having seen the first movie, but Day Watch makes absolutely no sense if you haven't seen Night Watch.

Can't wait for Smallville, but hope season 1-4 get a release soon as well.

Damn. Why the crap can't they release Supernatural? I'd buy that in an instant.

9/18 will be an expensive day: Deliverance, A Few Good Men, House of 1000 Corpses, Smallville, and Zodiac all on BD.
