HD Movies and TV Shows on XBOX Live

Today, MS is launching its downloadable HD Movies for Rent and TV shows for purchase service. Any reports, quality, pricing, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I guess we won't get any quality reports on the movies until tomorrow given the download times . Very excited about this service, I love any disruptive technology.

Yeah. The UFC thing is interesting. Even the PPVs aren't in HD. Why are the individual fights?

Is that ture? I thought the VGA cable was just for upconverting SD DVDs. The content you donwload is already at 720P so no upconversion is necessary. The regurlar component cables should work just fine.

Yeah, AFAIK, you only need the VGA for upconversion. Anything you download in HD will play just fine through component.

Yeah, you only need the VGA cables for upconversation. I believe they don't allow it over component for fear of somebody copying the material.

That is the rental price.

Too expensive for rentals, but you keep the TV shows and those prices are definitely decent.

How does the rental work? Is it set up to watch once only or for a few days.
