Sounds like a good idea. Once a thread is started, please e-mail a mod (or you can use the Report to Mod function) to have the thread stickied. We'll take down (unsticky) the other bargains thread.

So, are we starting a new thread or no? The other thread is approaching 800 posts, and we usually lock a thread around that number to start a new thread. Let me know.

Is it something that you'll be able to wipe once a month? if I have a main post that lists all the HD DVD/BD bargains and then others chime in if they find other bargains?

I'd like to see discussion posts as well as bargain posts. The bargain posts can be wiped monthly; we'll leave the discussion posts. Hopefully, people will remove the posts on their own once main post gets updated.

Or, we can just do a new thread each month. This might actually be better (from the server's point of view as well as the moderators' point of view).

Well, I was going to keep updating the very first post with regards to the bargains. I think the major problem people had with the current bargains thread is that it just kept going....and going....and going....
...and there was a lot of stuff in there that wasn't related to bargains.

I was thinking my first post could be something summarized and simple that people could refer to when certain bargains come up and instead of it just going on, you could possibly wipe it every month? I dunno. I'm just brainstorming.
