HDMI Audio with Component Video...

I'm leaning towards purchasing a new receiver (Onkyo SR604) since my current Sony's DTS decoder doesn't play nice with the HD-A1 bitstream. The new receiver has both HDMI and Analog 7.1 inputs which should remedy my current situation. I'm currently connected to my display through component cables in order to avoid the dreaded HDMI-DVI "black crush but not really black crush" issue. My question is, can I connect the HD-A1 to the receiver via HDMI for digital audio and still run my video directly to the display with component? If so, what mode do I set the HD-A1 in? HDMI or Component out?

Thanks

No, this can't be done. The player will only output by HDMI or Component individually, not simultaneously. In order to get video over Component, you need to hit the "V.Output" button on the remote, which will completely shut off HDMI.

The Samsung Blu-ray player does the same thing.
