He is probably alluding to that the studio would want to release as much info on a HP release as soon as possible to milk it for all it is worth to sell more HD players and make as much of a big deal as possible on a blockbuster.

Definately was....I was surprised that people's views of Tommy kept them from seeing it. It was really a fun summer flick!

Ill be preordering this as soon as its available!

It sucks that it wont have ALL the special features of the SD disc, but the ones they are not including dont sound that great anyways. AND, it will have hd exclusive content!

I believe it was always Orion. And, to my knowledge, MGM has the worldwide distribution rights for all Orion titles still.

Correct. Robocop was never a Carolco production.

More MI3 with pictures...

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...Format_Bow/170

So, it says that both hd releases will have Dolby Digital Plus 5.1....Would that be incorrect for BD??

Nice that the IME is on the hd-dvd version.

Yay! Even if the picture quality is the same, HD-DVD has extras Blu-Ray does not! I guess those 5GB do make a difference.

The studios can encode their Blu-rays with DD+ right now if they want to. The problem is that the first-gen players only extract the standard Dolby Digital "core" bitstream and ignore the rest.

Robocop has been delayed.

From the Blu Bits:
just a little Blu-ray-related FYI: Sony has informed us that because the distribution of MGM titles has moved to 20th Century Fox, they'll no longer be releasing the Blu-ray Disc version of RoboCop. It's been pulled from their schedule. Look for it to be rescheduled for release by Fox later this year, once Fox officially announces their first Blu-ray Disc releases.

Wow, MI:3 will be the first HD 2-disc set... might be my first title I pick up, assuming I can get the 360HD add-on soon after.

EDIT: Whoops, the cover art says two discs.

That's very promising for other HD sets. But I wonder why it needs two discs...it doesn't really look like there's that much content (or more so than any other HD set).

I don't think it's 2 discs. The BD says the same thing and that's impossible because they can't use 2 discs unless they're two BD discs (which I seriously doubt).
