HDMI question (HD DVD)
I'm planning on purchasing a Toshiba HD DVD player tommorrow and understand upconverting only works through HDMI. My Toshiba TV only has one HDMI input which is connected to my HD cable box (which is DVI - I have a HDMI to DVI cord).
My question is: Will I still be able to watch HD programs on TV and still watch HD DVD, or am I going to have to switch the cords every time I go back and forth? Is there a way to set this all up, as that seems like a lot of work? I appreciate any help. Thanks!

There is a 2x1 switcher on the same page for less money, although it's cheaper per port to get the 5x1. I've heard nothing but excellent reports on that switcher, and I'm planning to get one soon.
The other option is to hook up your cable box via component. Since there's no question of upconverting or ICT on cable, there is little PQ lost with component. Who is your cable provider?

Thanks for the quick input guys, I assume Monoprice.com is a reliable website to order from.
My cable provider is Comcast. If I take the cheap way out and use the component cables, would the picture really suffer, and would it be that noticeable? My main use for the HDTV right now are Hockey and Football games....maybe a little baseball if the Phillies would get their act together...

As I said, I use component for my cable, and it looks great. Especially shows like Deadwood. I haven't watched any hockey, but all the football I've seen is stunning. Our cable guy hooked it up with component automatically, so I didn't even know we had an HDMI option. You might have a different box than I got. Even so, if you don't want to invest in a switcher, I don't think cable HD over component will be much of a problem for you.

Definitely switch down to Component for cable and save the HDMI for HD DVD.
