Great, so this receiver is total bullshit. So as soon as Sony releases a BD player that decodes the 8 channel HD sound and Dolby Digital plus for the receiver it will be useful. Like late 2007 maybe.

I think it does Sony more harm to announce this as "enhancing" the Bluray players, when it clearly does not decode TruHD, DD+ and DTS-HD, nor does it include HDMI 1.3.
It really shows some folks over there may not have enough respect for people's intelligence.
The sad part is that there are a lot of people who will buy this rubbish because they actually think it'll make it better.

Think about this for a second. This is Sony we're talking about. If they really were ready to release the first ever receiver that could decode DD+, TrueHD, and DTS-HD, would they sell it for $800? Of course not, they'd sell it for $2,800.
