How long does it normally take to see the discount? I ordered 3 hddvds earlier in the week and got the discount, but adding items to my cart and going to checkout now it doesn't appear.

I received the email about the extended promotion as well. I hope Amazon will be good about updating the BDs to include the discount. Nothing like waiting forever for a discount that never comes, i.e. Miami Vice HD DVD.

I got the E-Mail too, God I love Amazon Prime WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!
As for the BD's, I had already been buying HD-DVDs from them for a couple months with the discount when I got my BD player...as soon as I started buying BDs, the 10% off worked immediately.

you answered that question in your own post with your first order.
as for the other order not showing the discount.
look at the previous post with the email that tells us the promo is good through the end of 2007.
it says not all the discs will have the discount right away. it may take a few days, so amazon says wait a ffew days before you order those discs.

From the e-mail (see post 50):
Although you won't see any promotional messaging on our Web site, the discount will continue to be automatically applied to qualifying orders through 2007.

I assume the reason for the extention was to make everyones end date the same to avoid confusion.

As a qualifying member, Amazon has not been flagging many new release titles, so your automatic discount does not appear.
I've had to call Amazon and instead they will manually place a credit in your account. They will cancel your current order and you have to reorder with the credit. This works, but it doesn't work the way Amazon promised it would. Why should you have to go through the hassle of redordering and calling Amazon to get a discount that they promised would be "automatic?"
