Best HD-DVD of April 2006
What did you think was the best HD-DVD of April 2006?
Not only the best film released on DVD, but the best overall presentation... film, video, audio, extras, etc.
Only 6 HD-DVD titles have been released in April... so please pick the best of the bunch from the poll.

gathering from the online reviews here and there, generally 'Phantom of the Opera' is mentioned as being stunning and the best of the bunch. Of course, since Apollo 13 and Doom streeted just yesterday, I haven't seen reviews for them... yet.

Phantom of the Opera is definutly the best HD-DVD.
I have never seen the movie but with a dobyTrueHD soundtrack. I definutly seems like the best in terms of being a more future proff disc. On the movies I have seen (all on DVD) Serentiy and The Last Samuari are both very average movies while Doom has to be one of the worst movies in a while. Not a very strong lineup but Blu-Rays doesn't look much better. Bring on High Definition Batman Begins and The Matrix.

I admit that I haven't watched everything in full yet, but I have watched all of Serenity, most of Apollo 13, and I have scanned through much of Phantom of the Opera and Million Dollar Baby.
They all look pretty amazing, but I really think I have to give the nod to Apollo 13. As an example, when I was watching it last night, during the scene where Tom Hanks is looking up at the sky, covering the moon with his thumb, as he moved his thumb and the focus shifted to the sky, my jaw dropped. The black sky, the numerous and varied stars, the moon, and the trees were breathtaking in their clarity and detail.

all these movies are so dark - I want a movie where the color just explodes of the screen - that's why I can't wait to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where both black/white and colour are all used to excess.

Serenity is the only of those I was really excited about seeing again. I liked Apollo 13 and Million Dollar Baby, but those aren't really the types of movies that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I only own 2 of the 6 (TLS & Doom) so i would have to give my vote to Doom due to the audio issues on the Warner discs.
I'll probably pick up Serenity soon, since i held off from buying the SD version when it was released because i knew it was coming on HD-DVD.
