Even though DVD Talk can't seem to do anything about the inappropriate and off-putting ads that get served on the site, you're not allowed to talk about that kind of browser extension or anything else you could do yourself to actually solve that problem. Be prepared for your post to get edited/deleted.

These seem to have picked back up again. The latest offender from Etsy might as well be a wet T-shirt contest. I will post several dozen screenshots when I have a moment.
Well, maybe just the one for now:

(Yeah, I've been getting the sexy Temu and Etsy ads for quite awhile. I've just become resolved to it and appreciate the scenery. I'm sure my wife just rolls her eyes and goes on about her day, assuming I put that up on purpose.)

I don't mean to crap on DVD Talk's business model, but programmatic advertising is a disastrous, dystopian cancer. Food for thought:

I really wish we had the option of an ad-free subscription for a small fee.

Edit: Correction, no article there. The picture, the headline, and two more ads . . . but no article. Irony.

What the hell is this ad popping up in the politics forum?! Something about an overworked liver but the picture is an AI Sasquatch (?) blowing a fart puff out of her ass?

GoldenJCJ, post your internet search history here and the DVDTalk Investigative Team will surely find the reason.
And it will be obviously entertaining for the rest of us.

No comment about my laptop search history…
95% of my internet usage is DVDTalk. So if anything:

Ads are getting worse and worse

No way to tell the ad company I don't want these. Or to tell them they are inappropriate.

At least they're of age, they used to feature "sexy" 12 year old girls, now that's uncomfortable.

And here we go again. Not sure what any of these photos has to do with "Back to School".

I need to checkout Etsy. Or specifically KL on Etsy.
