I see the same behavior. I wonder if it's related to keeping some of the politics stuff (or the other nasty stuff we talk about in other ) out of search engines to help keep trolls away? Or just an oversight.

Google changed its algorithm and that forced IB to hide any off-topic forums to be viewable only to logged-in members. As a side effect, yeah, I think it helps with trolls.
