If yes, why haven't we been seeing them all along? Also if yes, why are they ALL NRA/Pro Trump? Where are the "Trump is fucking up our country" ads? They certainly exist. Is that another coincidence which can't be explained?
Why haven't we been seeing them all along?
Basically, we have:

https://forum.dvdtalk.com/forum-feed...tical-ads.html

Why are we only seeing right-leaning organizations in these ads?
This, I don't have an answer for, but these would be my initial hypotheses:Online advertising works in one of two ways: direct fulfillment through us. These ads show up for everyone and run for a set amount of time, depending on the contract with the client. Then there's third-party fulfillment, which fills ad spots that haven't been sold directly with ads from Google AdSense or a similar company. These give you ads based on your browsing history, demographic, and other data collected by Google, Apple, apps, et cetera.

Every time you see one of these ads, you should have the option to report it directly to Google or whichever ad network it's coming from and decrease your chance of seeing it again.

You're seeing those NRA and Trump ads because of several factors.

The board has a lot of talk about Trump and guns/gun control in the politics forum, so they might be targeting the forum based on those keywords. This is a public board, searchable on the web, and if they find a lot talk about Trump and guns, then they see an interest here in those subjects and are going to target the board for advertising. It's the same thing electronics and movie companies do. Targeted advertising.

The other one is your own personal history. Entities like facebook and google basically track everything you do on the web. They have profiles on you that would probably blow your mind. Your probably check some boxes on a profile, so they think you're a good candidate for their advertising. I remember reading a few years back about a teenaged girl who was pregnant, and Target figured it out just by her shopping habits, and started sending her coupons for baby products. At which point, her father, who didn't know she was pregnant, complained to Target about sending his daughter coupons for baby products. I'm surprised no one's mentioned geotargeting yet. Noonan, are you, by chance, in a swing state?

One thing you can do to try to block this type of behavior, is install a privacy extension in your web browser, like Privacy Badger. This will block those type of tracking cookies that follow you around. Here's an example of the cookies it blocks for this site:

Ever since installing this addon, I can look at a site like 1800flowers, and not see a million ads for flowers for the next couple of weeks following me around wherever I go.

lol, not even close. No one on the right would even bother playing ads here, for the most part.

But it's whatever at this point. I use a blocker at work, which is when I visit the site 99% of the time. Just won't come here via my phone not logged in anymore.

Someone deleted my message but LAPD pop up ads on Breitbart were handled in a millisecond. Isn’t that the same thing as this. Why can’t we fix? I’m getting ads with Make America Great Again hats.

If you can grab us the link, we can handle it pretty quickly. It's not possible to make a comparison to other sites without knowing their ad networks, the nature of each individual ad, and their site software and internal procedures.
