I never noticed that the editor used to auto capitalize the first letter of sentence, because I'm not too lazy to hit the shift key.

I never noticed that the old editor did that either.

Would be kinda handy for using on a mobile device, though.

I don't think the editor ever did that, but it was probably a result of an interaction between the old editor and mobile device keyboards.

I just tested on my Android phone, and on the mobile version of the site, my Android keyboard autocapitalizes. Same if I switch to Full Site.

Is this just on mobile? That's a compatibility issue. I've seen it happen on a few non-IB sites when I'm browsing on my phone in my leisure time.

This. Mobile keyboards have some weird interactions on some sites. I get problems on Nike Talk for example (not an IB site).

Uh...

I don't know the exact time. It's not planned at this moment as we finish software updates across the department, but I believe it's just a plugin that gets turns on. "Private Messages" in the top right becomes a "Notifications" dropdown with PMs, likes, quote notifications, friend requests, etc.

It is handy.

Bottom line joel: My preferred way of being on the forum is using a mobile device and using the desktop style forum. This used to work great. The new update makes it very difficult. I’m frustrated.

I appreciate that. I know the world is drifting toward mobile more and more, at least for leisure. I can assure you that our company-wide tech team (not just the one we have for our division) is working on a solution for mobile functionality.

Any idea about this? I think it's really cool that AFAIK has the little subtext going on, and it would be really cool if at lest some of these others had that too. Do you have a list of acronyms that do this right now? Can any of these be added?

And you said you're using the Desktop version of the site, not Mobile? What editor are you using? The new default one?

Edit: Also, what version of iOS are you on? Is it the most current version, iOS 12.1.3, released January 22, 2019 ?

I'll see what we can do. I don't think we can specifically ban key phrases in thread titles, but we can ban users from posting links/images until they have X # of posts.

Seems to work okay for me. There's a line to "Paste a File URL..."

Just drop the URL to your image, there, and that should be it.

Getting the same as Oldboy ... using Google Chrome on my laptop. Strange popup screen. When I try to paste the URL in there, the URL just disappears.

Even using the old [img] bookends isn't working.
