Hey guys, Roger is out for a bit, but basically we're tackling this a new way, going forward.
What we need is the following: 1. Screenshot (which you've all been posting, awesome) 2. The URL of where you're being redirected 3. Device/Operating System 4. Country you're in when you get the ad 5. Your IP address Feel free to post the screenshots here still, but if you don't want to have that other stuff public, PM both IBrshao and myself. |

If I haven't said it before, you people are gluttons for punishment. On my desktops, I use the "Microsoft MVPs" HOSTS file to block ad and spyware sites (plus some other measures like the Yet Another Remove-It Permanently add-on for Firefox), and never have issues and never have Amazon UK links redirected. On my smart phone the options are more limited, but I spoof as Firefox and disable image and JavaScript, which amounts to largely the same thing. QED.

All of my posts have been from the US using iPhone 6S and iOS 10. As for IP address, you can look it up to get the one associated with a post; I always posted screenshots directly from my phone.
In the meantime I've just stopped using the site from my mobile phone, and maybe hit a page or two from work every few days now. |

I'm having the same problem. There's a shitload of malware ads that load on DVD Talk's pages. This is something new I've observed.
I'm also getting the Microsoft malware ad, which is unique to DVD Talk's pages. |

The problem with this is I've stopped using dvdtalk.com on my mobile device because of the repeated hijacks.
Also... would you care to explain why it took an admin on a different IB forum to get a response from IB in this thread? Point blank... the hijacks are completely unacceptable and the fact you are leaving it to the users to report the hijacks is very poor business practice! Fire your ad network!

I tried viewing the site on my iPad this morning and I was subjected to a barrage of spam/malware ads.
Amazing how this is going on for months and nothing is apparently being done to resolve it. I would think it's killing some of the traffic here. |

"Rightnetwork.club" is one that seems to be attacking a lot of our sites, so that's a top priority of ours to stop. Does that seem to be a common redirect for everyone?

IB,
Whoever your third-party ad services are, I highly suggest you reconsider them and only use the better ones. The high-risk ad sites pay you more because they put your valued consumers at risk. In the end, you will lose your community and the adholes will make theirs, moving on to another website who wants to make a fast buck. As an aside, DVDTalk's website is now behaving like a typical questionable website, where the page loads continuously with new scripts from outside sources. I cannot recommend DVD Talk to anyone because of this until it's fixed. And I have referred a lot of people to join this site due to the rich collection of moviegoers. |

I stopped using the mobile version of the site months ago when these problems were going on. Tonight on my laptop, I've been redirected multiple times to some junk sites. Someone please make it stop. :(

Has anyone here tried using a duo of Firefox and uBlock Origin on their phones? I've been doing that for a couple of days, no issues. (Big corporations are running Adblock and Adblock Plus, by the way. Get rid of them.)
I never got ads on my desktop and laptop, either, regardless of the browser and ad-block extension. |

Still only get redirects on the iPhone. Site is stable as can be in Google Chrome (I have Adblock, Malwarebytes Free, and Spybot Free running). |
