Yeah, my ipad has been OK after the holiday weekend.

If that's true, then the stream is going to dry up because the people who would even be able to click them can't be on the website more than ten seconds before the ads take over and you have to close the tab.

IB, this has to stop. You have to change this. It is not sustainable. Please listen and please stop it.

I just read about a potential solution that we might be able to try until IB does something about their ad partner. This is for people like me that use the Chrome mobile browser. Open a new tab and type this into the address bar:
chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture

Then, look for "Framebusting requries same-origin or a user gesture" and change the status from "default" to "enabled."

Finally, restart your browser.

Since doing this, I've found that the ads still pop up but they don't hijack your tab. Instead, the ad opens a new tab (or two or three!) which you can close and continue on the site.

I hope this solution works for everyone, it comes from what appears to be a reliable source.

What model phone are you using and do you know the OS version and the Chrome version?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 11.2.1, Version 63.0.3239.73 of Chrome

I have 2 phones. My Samsung S8 has the option in Chrome, my iPhone8 does not. It must be an Android fix.

I have an iPhone 7 Plus, and yeah... that setting isn't there.

I was able to do the popups blocker chrome setting suggested in a previous post. Otherwise this site was utterly unusable and rapidly constantly redirecting to the Spam sites...



I was not able to get the beginning of the animated 8ball ad, but here is the end (that i was only able to see after stopping popup hostage redirects).



Typically it is popping 5 or more that are now blocked.

I don't seem to be getting browser hijacks on iOS, just on Android at this time.

I was using the site via mobile on New Year's Day and I was getting redirected every time I came to the site within 30 seconds or so of browsing. Never had that happen before. It was totally unusable. I managed to setup the blocker thing that story suggested, and then I could browse, but I was getting 3 or 4 notifications of blocked redirects every 30 seconds or so for as long as I browsed the board.

Same here. It's the kind of stuff you'd expect to see on a Russian hack site or something.

Sounds like my experience today. And with that level of attack, I can't imagine anyone who is a loyalist would give up and never come back.

Yeah, it's been constant redirects to trygiftcard.top today. I just enabled the framebusting feature on my Android phone, so we'll see if that helps going forward.

I am getting hit by the same ads I reported here days ago. I know I will be hit before the pop-up blocker stops it because of the ad images.

Please fix this. As it has become so much worse these last days I am seeing traffic in the threads I frequent drop to near or absolute zero.
