We used to be able to add a poll to an existing thread using the Thread Tools, but today I don't have that ability to do that in either the week 4 MLB thread or year-long baseball sheep. I've tried in both IE 11 (with compatibility turned on, which got my smilies back) and Firefox 28, my usual browsers of choice.

Just waiting for someone to point out something obvious to me.

Once you put a thread up, you have a 30 min window in which you may add a poll. After that, you need to contact a mod or admin to add the poll.

Thanks--has this always been the case? I seem to remember having the option on older threads, but maybe it was just my imagination.

At one point I think it was less time, but there has always been a time limit on when you can come back and add a poll.
