Scott your negotiations tactics leave a lot to be desired.

Re: Premium membership question / issue

Just a heads up...

The method for me to check out my subscriptions is totally different from what was posted above. When I do it the way it was posted before, it is empty for me as well even though I know I have recurring payments for sure. Follow these instructions and see what you find...

-Log in to your PayPal account.
-Click Profile near the top of the page.
-Click My money.
-Click Update in the My preapproved payments section.
-Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.

That is where I find my DVDTalk subscription, and everything else I have set up.

Re: Premium membership question / issue

The $20 option is the only option I am aware of.

If there are issues with needing to cancel subscriptions or receive refunds, please email Roger.Shao at internetbrands dot com and you'll be taken care of.

My subscription through PayPal is still set at a recurring $10/year looking at my subscriptions using my method posted above.

My paypal subscription ended because my credit card expired. How do I sign up again? Is it $10 or $20 now?

I think I would actually sign up this year if it was $10.

Yup, I prematurely cancelled my membership, so I lost the ability to renew at $10.
If $10 was the default price ($20 is silly, considering the complete lack of "features" since they launched this thing), I'd sign up again.

I'd consider signing back up for $10.

Re: Premium membership question / issue

$20 seems like alot of money just to add an avatar and get access to features I may never use. I might be swayed for $10 but probably won't for $20. I'd wager there would be alot more people signing up if the initial cost was $10 with $5 or $7.50 a year renewals. -kd5-

Me too. My subscription ended and I'd like to renew at $10, but it looks like I can't.

For what it's worth, I would also become a premium member for $10.

Re: Premium membership question / issue

The first year was fun but after that the novelty wore off and it was barely worth the $10 a year. It's certainly not worth $20. I'm surprised they eliminated the $10 option. I can understand if they added extra features or something.

Did you win any of the DVD contests?

Re: Premium membership question / issue

How many DVD contests are there for premium members? Might be worth it, as a form of gambling.

I think there's a new contest every fortnight for one or more DVD/BDs.

I'd become a recurring member in a heartbeat if I could sign up for $10/year.

$20 seems too much, but $10 for an avatar picture on a forum I use daily would be worth it.

I'd like to renew at $10 but had to cancel my subscription because I kept getting double charged every year. Now, of course, I wish I hadn't (and that Paypal was less opaque on the subject).

The coupon code listed on the renewal page, GWR-10G45, doesn't work.

My situation as well. Like practically everyone else here I just naturally assumed the coupon code would work as it has every year.

Add yet another to the ever-growing list of people who would gladly come back at the $10 price point.

I was a premium member for two years, participated in most of the contests and didn't win diddly. Most of the giveaways were pretty obscure releases as well, from what I recall (and never a blu-ray, although that's probably changed now).

They had some BDs. I won 1 contest the whole time and of course it was just a regular DVD no BD. But I was still glad I at least won something.

Add me in as another that'd join at $10, but not $20.
