No, it had nothing to do with you, at least at the beginning. We just picked one avatar to all change to, to confuse the non-Premium people.

It wasn't aimed at any single person, just a general thing.

I think it's funnier that people were actually willing to pay for the privilege at one point.

I don't think many of us paid/pay specifically for the avatars. The other benefits are just as worthless as avatars, but they're worth $5 a year imho.

The extra $5 I pay because I'm too lazy to cancel; and write it off as a tip for the enjoyment I get out of the site.

I didn't pay for the Avatars I just wanted to give back to a site I spend much time on. But it felt the site didn't really wanna give me anything back for my loyalty.

I've won 2 DVDs and a BD set just in the last few months from contests open only to premium members. The avatar is just a bonus.

I can't remember for sure what a number of us did. It was either we changed our avatars to El Scorcho's who was briefly suspended during the April Fool's ruckus or we changed it to a Bulls suck avatar because I think you had a Bulls avatar at the time.

As the one who coordinated the prank, I was actually grateful that you took it to a whole new level just as the impact was starting to fizzle out. As a result your reaction made the whole thing epic!

A lot of us did switch to your Chicago Bulls avatar and there was a hybrid version that gcribbs kept as his avatar for about 2 years.

The only thing I really regret about that day was that El Scorcho posted a remark that was out of line and got suspended for it.

As for the benefits of being a premium member, I can justify it simply by the fact that I've won nearly $200 worth of DVDs, Blu-rays and a few other cool things liike a book and a soundtrack LP on red vinyl.

We did all of those things although not necessarily as a group. There was also the hybrid Tarantino & Bulls avatar that was pretty cool.

I remember the Tarantino one and it confused the hell out of me. Funny all the same though.
