Add me to the list of people who really dislike this "feature".
If you gave me an option (premium?) to turn it off, I might cough up the $20. Seems like a good way to sway people to premium.

I don't like it either, but it seems they do have their reasons. IMO, we've gotten a lot of good/new features since the switch, so I'm personally willing to live with these thread titles (despite disliking them).

FWIW, I abhor them. At least I have the option to turn the god-awful avatars off.
Why add more clutter? DVDTalk.com used to be so clean and streamlined. Yes, it is still better than 99% of the boards out there, but why take steps backwards?

I like the idea that was mentioned of right-aligning them so they don't distract from the message body as much. That really might do the trick.
1) You would get the assumed SEO benefit
2) It wouldn't get in the way of the messages
3) It would also still help the poor souls who don't know what thread they are in, but also retain the mildly-used title feature's integrity. It wouldn't be so "out of the way" that it loses its function, but would be placed such that you can easily read the message body without having to scan past the headline.

I'm always right.
I can see some advantages. So can a few other people, I've noticed.

Automatic titles add to visual clutter and serve no useful purpose.
Really annoying. I hate having to remember to triple click, delete, them every time I post.
No, I don't get the search density stuff. It certainly won't help me in my forum searches and what earthly difference does it make if a thread shows up on Google searches? Huh?

Embrace the corporate mindset!
I'm sure it promotes positive growth for the bottom line by increasing synergy with corporate sponsors and strategic partners, helping foster mutually beneficial relationships within the internet advertising space. This sort of out-of-the-box thinking is why Internet Brands is known as an industry leader for its best practices, consistent performance, and wide-reaching influence on customers across all demographic groups.

Yup. I've got no problems with right alignment. Don't really even notice them

Better.
But... my thread about shortest Google word was indexed. If I looked for "Gallery of Unspeakable Sex Acts" (which was a sub-title here), there are no results.

Oh, must've had the gallery of unspeakable sex acts gallery words in the wrong order. Well, thankfully now it'll be indexed no matter what order they're in.
