The Search - it does nothing!

I don't know if it's just me, but I've tried running a number of searches last night and today (before starting a new thread) and whether I run it from the drop down menu bar or in the advanced search window - it still just takes me to a blank screen with the normal DVDtalk bar across the very top of the screen but no responses or anything. Even if I hit refresh then, it just does the same thing.

This is probably the first time I've tried running a search in 4-5 days or maybe a week, but I've never seen this issue on the site before (new software patch). Not seeing anyone else posting about it, but just fyi.

thanks

Use Google with your search terms and "site:forum.dvdtalk.com" (without the quotation marks). It saves on server exertion.

Ok, I've tried a few more times and the search is literally doing nothing - even after 5 minutes of waiting. It always worked before this week so I really have no idea why it's giving issues now.

I don't think I should have to go outside DVDtalk (ie. google) to run a search of the forums here - is there any kind of technical issue or patch - or cookie that I need to check?

Yeah, working now - anything change - maybe as a result of the premium forum additions/changes?

Is there an easier way to search threads with your posts in them? Something like EGOTRIP from Cheapassgamers.com?

Methinks you need to start exploring the various user/control panel options to get the best use from the site.

i got it... it's advanced search on the id and then view as posts. Still, not too direct as a single click...
