Why can't I edit the titles of threads I've created?
If I've created a thread, why can't I edit the title? It's a bit of a hassle to always have to ask a mod to do it.

I've noticed the same thing. In the past, I've had to PM a mod in order to get the actual thread title changed. It would be nice having the ability to do it yourself.

Nope, you only changed the title of your post, not the thread.
You can only change the thread title in the first minute after creating, after that you are only changing the title of your individual post.
I don't think you really want that. Obviously, there is much potential for abuse and shenanigans there. One should not have the ability to change thread titles willy nilly. Imagine a long running thread with hundreds of posts, and the OP getting upset at the direction of the thread and changing the title to something cruel, or something contrary to or unrelated to the topic.
Mods are part of forums for a reason. This is one of them.

I can understand this thinking. I just wish you had a little more time (longer than a minute) to edit the title. I've seen several instances where folks quickly realized the thread title had an error or was missing a vital piece of information, yet couldn't make the necessary change.
