I doubt he did as opposed to the forum doing it. I'm afraid to post in Otter at the moment because of the way the forum keeps hanging - don't know if the post will take or not, or post twice.

This is indeed a pain in the ass, but you guys should check out Rotten Tomatoes when it's having problems; it wipes the floor with DVDTalk's current problems.

I appreciate you guys hanging in there. This isn't a problem specific to this site, it's effecting multiple sites and is a top priority for us.

See? That was an actual error - I hit "submit reply", nothing happened, I hit it again, and it went to "database error", though it actually went through, twice - I recall, the forum used to disable identical posts, especially within a few seconds of each other. So it's completely the forum's fault.

Can we get avatars to make up for it?

This is how I envision Hell. First there's DVDTalk, then they take it away. Then there's DVDTalk, then they take it away.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Bring back Geoff!

Nice upgrade. It blows.

visitor Q 08-21-08 06:03 PM

Shit, and here I was thinking it was just me ... on three different pcs :)

Iran is going nuclear, Russia is talking about nuclear, DVDTalk is becoming a slow magic act - now you see me, now you don't. The world truly is going to Hell ...... :gah:

The current issues are 100% unrelated to the forum upgrade.

Considering the frequent "Database error" messages, I would assume the database.

More specifically, the database server.

The Edit King 08-22-08 01:38 PM

It's a CRAP SHOOT anyway ya look at it.

DarkestPhoenix 08-22-08 01:39 PM

I keep having my pages not load because of what Firefox calls a database error. It's annoying as shit, especially when I try to post something and it gets lost because the error comes and goes sporadically over long periods.

68ShelbyGT500KR 08-22-08 01:39 PM

Most of the time the past 2 days for me it has been very slow.....

The Edit King 08-22-08 01:41 PM

May I reiterate:

Hmm, it seems maybe a little slow right now for me but it isn't that bad. Haven't had the DB error either all morning.

Goldblum 08-22-08 07:20 PM

Hmm. Well it's still working for me. I didn't have any problems today.
